Artist Jim Mangan collaborated with his long time friend and renowned rally driver Ken Block to take the car out for a bit of a spin.  Using the landscape of Southern Utah as their canvas the two men captured the dusty, chaotic, off world landscape between Capital Reef and the Goblin Valley.

The ever changing relationship between human and the earth is the back story and comes out of Mangan’s history with the American West and the interactions found in such places.  Mangan’s goal was to “put the landscape in motion”. Driver-Car-Landscape-Reaction.

Jim will be signing his book “Blast” at the Imperial Black Pop up shop over at Capitol Charlotte on Tuesday, Dec 16th from 5-8.
